Acclaimed director and producer Julius Nasso was honored at the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival in Italy with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades of innovation, creativity and service to the film and music industries. Nasso was presented the award by legendary composer, songwriter, producer and film actor, Tony Renis and Alessandro Salem of Mediaset Films.
“I am extremely humbled and honored to have been presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival,” stated Nasso. “Italy is where I got my start in film production and directing, and will always hold a special place in my heart. Receiving this truly brings my career full circle.”
This award comes on the heels of Nasso’s groundbreaking work with Andrea Bocelli at the Asian Culture Carnival at Beijing National Stadium in May. The event featured leaders from all 48 Asian nations, along with Israel and Australia banded together in celebration. Andrea Bocelli, the headliner, performed the First Lady’s favorite song, Giacomo Puccini’s “Nessun Dorma.” The event boasted an in-person audience of 78,000 people with an additional 1.7 Billion viewers tuning in via live TV streaming services through China Media Group. Nasso collaborated on the project with his son Frankie, and Kevin Ma through their company, Ma Nasso Productions. The trio have plans to announce additional concert plans this summer.
